hi
with multimeter set on lowest ohm reading and/or diode
check diodes for short circuit or open circuit
check transistors for short circuit between all or two pins
a failed junction will show few ohms, if you get this you got to unsolder an verify again that component
check with magnifying glass for bad solder points or cracks in pcb tracks
check cables usb and obd, check multipin conectors between two boards and connector for obd board (contact spray)

Thanks for your answer i will test that and try it to repair it. The chineese clip have many problem, one of my friend i've bought it 2 of it and the two don't work anymore after two cars !

Hi Guys,

I'm pretty happy to finally find some real technical data on Chinese Clip repair. I***8217;m also affect by strange issues :

- All 2 red lights working
- All 2 green lights working
- Firmware update finally passed

But this stills not working on 2001 Clio DCi, by some times (1 over 10) I***8217;m able to read VIN (otherwise I got a CAN error message, check cabling) , but after I***8217;m able only to enter into Abs calculator, other ones are failing miserably.

I***8217;m reading with interest all the topic (actually on page 15), I hope I***8217;ll be able to solve this

My current plan is :
- to check again all solders, is there any particular weak parts ?
- Check transistors and diodes
- Check ram, cpus etc

Hi,
did you try only on one car? if so, try another with can maybe that car has an issue (measure voltage in obd connector with key on and a 15-25w light bulb for some
current draw)
if it's sonde defect , after checkin bad connections and solder points try to change oscillators, read the whole thread to find out how

I tried in 2 cars that were working before, but with exactly the same behavior, VIN collection : 90 % of CAN error and 10 % of success but diag is still not working properly.

There are several versions of can clip:
sp19-A
sp19-B
sp19-C
Which one is the best ?

On my side, I checked all solder points, resolded most obvious, tested transistors (none had theorical working, but all have same values) but still have issues:

all leds are working but no relay noise (or very few tries) and no VIN collection.

If I enter the VIN manually, I can only read UCH on a 2001 Clio II ph2 with Dci engine. Other calculators are looping indefinitly

those components are :
from left to right
R72, R74 , C24, C26 , C29, C31 , C34
I'll send the values on monday

they are all capacitors !!!! multimeter shows no resistance on them
if you look closely on board resistors are dark gray and marked with values, even the smallest ones
R72 & R74 MUST BE C72 , C74

RLT2002 detection interface is OK; On car i read correctly VIN automaticaly but but I do not access at all the computers during the test, only Engine and UCH ???

my Clip not working on K line works fine on CAN vehicles but the problem is with K -line
All 4 Led`s are on all 4 drivers installed correctly.

Does I need to replace AN2135SC ?

Hi all must say a quick thanks for this post as i have been reading it a few times trying to fix my clip which was working fine untill I had a vehicle with bad earth and starting motor problems, this I think has caused some sort of damage to the clip but i can't seem to repair it...... maybe you can help

I'm am getting two red led's (USB & Batt) and the green ISO led,
I have re-installed the software 113 but only the iso driver will install, the can won't

1) have checked soldering joints and gone around with the hot air gun.
2) have swapped over the cypress chips from iso to can.
3) swapped over the crystals from iso to can
4) checked voltage at both cypress chips (3.1v or 3.3v can't remember exactly.)
5) checked voltage at both mc68hc16 ( 5.02v)
6) changed the usb cable

the probe shows up in the clip software but when try to connect I get a error.

have I missed something maybe I can't see the wood for the trees... :-) not sure where to go next!!!!!!
