Default Kessy CS and PIN by dump

    Hi!

I have a kessy that was completely broken by water, and I was lucky enough to save 93C86 dump from it.
Kessy was replaced bu another one, but it not working (starter not rotating, doors ignores keys and start/stop button not working with "key not found" message).
I think new kessy can be programmed with coding without start/stop system, so it cannot know it should send signals to starter.

Can you tell me please how can I get immo information from this dump, at least PIN code and 'coding' magical digits, so I can compare it to installed new one?

    Thank you in advance!

    Thank you very much!

I'm not so familiar with VAG terminology, but another one value should exist in dump.
As I understand, it is 'coding' or 'code' or something like this - several digits that represents feature set programmed in some device.
For example, for instrument cluster it contains data about tachometer upper limit, speedometer highest value, diesel or gas, which control lights dashboard has, and something like this.

I think Kessy should have similar value - is car equipped with keyless, how many antennas it has, at which frequency RKE works, and so on.
Launch X431 displays this value while connecting to block, but suddenly, old Kessy was completely destroyed by water, so I cannot connect to it, I can just read EEPROM dump

Can this value be extracted from dump?

Stop writing nonsense, there are people, who know how to calculate immo data in Continental Kessy only by eprom.
    lupu_sandu can confirm)))
Here is an example wherever your VVDI Prog could not https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forum...61-Conti-Kessy

    Brand is Siemens.

I soldered EEPROM back to Kessy PCB and tried to clear it as good as I can.
Tomorrow I will try to place this old Kessy to the car and cross fingers.
Hope it will connect to diagnostic, so I will able to read block coding.

Thank you all for helping me!

Sorry to ignore that you can do because until now, didn't see the thread with correct pin from 93C86 Conti Kessy.

Siemens Kessy pin is easy by many programmer.

Hi, Could anyone give some input on this please.
I went to add key on a Porsche Cayenne 2003. Long story short,, I did not realise that this 2003 vehicle had a replacement Kessy dated 2010, And its a continental one. Not the siemans one it should be,,
Before i realised my stupid error of reading just the eprom in wrong menu before 2008, Of which its a good read.. Ive them managed to damage the original eprom..
Ive already tried to write another eprom with that 1st read but all im getting is module not programmed fault and no igntion.
I know the pin will be wrong. But could anyone give me the correct pin from this 1st read eprom dump to give me a fighting chance of solving this problem please.

you have to give member more indicaton which tool you re using to add key..

but in the final you have to exctract immo data from ecu prepare keys and program ...

even with good tools like vvdiprog and with continental ecu you can can some versions the only stable solution with this ecu is tmpro v2...

you have to give ignition by fuse..

Thanks for reply, I used Autel im608. First tried to pull pin and CS through OBD but would not, Obviously as was in -2008 menu.. So pulled kessy and read with xp400pro.
Im not sure if this vehicle has had a full set replacement ECU/KESSY/STERRING LOCK,
Or just the kessy has been replaced if thats possible.

And yes the force ignition with fuse i think is different on before and after 2008 so prob will get it on when i return.

Im wondering whether replacing the eprom with original read , And then adding key the correct way soldering wires on board would bring it to back to life.

im just confused as to why it has a newer continental kessy on, As just normal door handles
