Ok finally got a chance to desolder the lcd successfully.Gonna try and read out the 93c56 chip on the board. Can someone tell me if there is any differences between 93c56 and a L56R chip???I have one speedo with a 93c56 and one with L56R.also I still have some solder left over inside the holes on the pcb which are very small.Anyway to removed the soldering from inside the joints??
thanks for your inputs.I will try and post results. As mentioned earlier alot of you suggested to desolder the chip in order to get a valid and good dump.If I try to read with clip and the read fails will I still be able to desolder the chip and read it in the programmer or will I need a good dump??
I dont see a quarts anywhere on the board. Can anyone point it out where it is??or does my board even have one??
probably not got one so best to remove to read it

Ok so again finally a little more progress.I still have the lcd desoldered.I tried putting +12v to the pins you pointed out but wasnt able to get the led on pcb to light up only the low fuel light led lit up.Im assuming I need the lcd installed to complete the circuit for all the leds on the pcb??
