Edc17C46 car wont start after flash

Hi .

I have a Sharan 2.0 Tdi 2014 with Adblue ( 140 Ps ) EDC17C46

The Adblue System was bad. Now i decided to delete it.

I have buy an Kess/Ktag kit. And read it with Ktag on bootmode.

First i get an backup.

Then i read it. And put it into Davinci and delete adblue.

Then i put it into winols to make the checksum correction.

It was all ok.

Now i write it with kess.

No fails. No Dtcs. The wire from Adblue Sensor 2 is disconnected.

But car wont start.

I write the original file back und plug the wire in. But no solution.
With Vcds i can read it out. All ok no dtcs.

I have read it with boot and write it with boot.

It is an Edc17C46

Unfortunately that's the problem with clones, I also killed ECUs and it's frustrating

are different reading beetwen boot and obd

you should try without winols chksum...
let ktag calculate cksum...

if still not work...
than your davinci solution is bad...

Probably, DaVinci solution isn't good Everything works fine when you write FULL backup???

works not car doesnt start .

i was at a company that do a new/other file with scr off on the ecu

now it says air mass sensor implausible signal p010100 (167)

do ktag the checksum fix?

why do it with backup file not work?

engine turns but dont go on

if you have ori files(full) , write it in bench with ktag.....

as i can see you still have connection with ecu, that's good.....

other solution i think is to make ecu update with odis.....

Ok I'll explain it from the beginning


First I tried to make a backup with ktag
However, it didn't work.
Then I tried it with kess and noticed that a microsoft tool was missing and it therefore always showed me checksum error


then i installed it and it worked
however, I only made the backup with kess


i didn have odis.
any other solution?

can i get an other file?
must i have the eeprom file from the new one ? or from the old one?


I also have these files. once there is a file (backup)


then I read again and saved the micro


I didn't edit either of them, I put them in a separate folder


then I edited the micro (davinci adblue off--->then winols for checksum correction)


now I only wrote the micro with kess (write button)


everything worked without problems.


I've tested them but the car won't start


the adblue(scr) errors were gone


then i tried to save the control unit again with the backup function. (adblue error back but car won't start)


no errors are stored in the control unit (VCDS)
