Default W203 200 CDI ECU bricked?

    Hi all,

I flashed a DPF and EGR off file from a friend with clone KESS to my W203 200 CDI EDC16C2. Flashing appeared to be fine, no errors. But unfortunately now ECU is dead, recovery mode is not working and engine fan keeps spinning.

    I also have clone KTAG.

I tried searching for correct Bosch BDM pinout, but got confused by different information... Would try to directly solder ribbon cable on PCB if I have correct pins...

Any idea on how I can recover it?

    Best regards

I want to try, but I need BDM pinout. I am afraid to break the ECU. Does someone have correct pinout?

I attached original photo from my ECU.

Yes, we read the original file with clone Kess and then he modified it. Its 1MB bin file.

You are right, I should use frame. The problem is I need the car for work and If I order BDM frame now takes some days...

Found this one meanwhile, hope its correct.

I will try to read tomorrow using this pinout.

Can I connect 12V and Ground directly to terminal pins on main connectors of ecu? In this way I could avoid three solderings...

Those pads don't hold up to much heat, you're gonna end up lifting them, I've been there

After some nervous hours, I managed to get the readout, pcb is still fine.

I have attached one zipe file read with KTAG from status now with all 3 (engine no start), the other zip file contains KESS flash reading only BEFORE I flashed the bad file (engine started).

    What can I do now?

Can I first try to flash back my original map file into external flash only and check if car starts?

Don't write the kess file with ktag, it needs to be changed, someone will help, in the meantime, you should try to find an ori bdm file for your ecu, i think you will need one
