    Default Smart Fortwo 451 Sam pinout Xprog-m mc9s12b128 3L80R

Hi, I am trying to connect Xprog-m to my donor sam (read my original sam mcu ok). However I am getting a "bootloader initializing cant access bdm" error with the same pinout (see photo).

Can someone help. do i need to lift a pin? or is there an alternative pinout?

    Thanks!!

good news! it turns out it was a secured chip and just needed the addtion of ETAL as per pinout found on the web.

I have now found that my original sam dump is 4kb and my donar chip dump is 2kb.

can anyone help me transfer the 4kb good dump data to fit the 2kb chip dump?

    Thanks

correct ground, reset, vcc and extal (verify errors without extal). chip reads and writes and verify without issues.

As my original sam chip dump is 2kb and replacement 1kb having troubles converting...

    does the dump look good?

Hi, did you figure out the pinouts for this? i saw the picture but you cannot see what connections were made in what colour to the xprog unit, or a description of what wire you have connected to the sam, for exaple the white wire soldered to the sam unit connects to a bluse wirw twisted, what connection is that to the chip?
I hope that makes sense.. thanks
