hi, when having my splitter on the cable so i can use BB as well as the TV i can't watch sky sports 1 the channel is unwatchable but when taking the splitter off and doing a straight connection to the eurovox it works. Is a new splitter needed if so any recommendations ?

If it has DC passthrough, which it looks like it has then it should be OK. Try another one and also make sure your rf connections are terminated correctly.
The splitter, (no matter which one you use), will introduce a small Db loss. If your signal is borderline for that particular TP a booster may help. But as said try a new splitter first.
