Noob - immo off Bosch me2.0

Hi all, I've got a Mercedes ml55 w163 with a me2.0 ECU which starts and then immediately cuts out. I suspect the key is faulty, but I can't say for sure.

I've tried syncing the key but the lock/unlock buttons don't work. I can't see the infrared led working through my phone camera. I've tried replacing the key batteries but it makes no difference. This leads me to think the key is fubared.

Is the only solution to deimmo with a Julie pro, or is there another way?

If immo off by emu.....also need Star diagnostic

Thanks. What's EMU stand for? Do you mean ECU?

I forgot to mention, I had someone try to diagnose the issue with star... But something was wrong and not every module could be read or connected to, hence the fault could not be diagnosed.

The person I bought the car from sold it to me as a non-runner. Apparently the battery went flat and then this issue occurred.
I've since read that you should not jump start these cars with the key in the ignition as it can fry the key. Unknown if this is the cause, but likely.
