Default APR EMCS2 in earily 1.8T ecu board pics

i was given an ECU from a 97 audi A4 1.8T that was supposedly bad but it turned out that when i pulled it apart there was a poorly installed piggy back board installed. after looking closer with a magnifying glass its a APR EMCS2. i find it odd that none of the chips where sanded as to remove any numbering but this one was not. i've seen chips sanded with C2, DSMlink etc. i plan on taking pics of it to post up so maybe someone can work with this to build a more user friendly version so we can enjoy such things like DSMlink or hondata as i see these piggy backboards in their ECU's all the time.

the first chip on the board is an XLINX XCR3128XL

the other is a an SST and its number is M29W160EB

other than those 2 there is an interface port and several resistors, it seems very simple yet a little too complex for me yet. i will post pictures very shortly.
