    Default Nexiq and Cat ET

I want buy a Nexiq Usb-Link to use with Caterpillar ET, can I'll be able to calibrate power train's ECM (as clutch fill or clutch pressure)? Can I reflash ECM? Does anyone had any problems with Nexiq Usb link? Thanks!

hi there, from what I have heard using the nexiq usb adapter, there are problems with trying to regen or run a data log, due to the fact that is does not use a dual data link like the cat com II, could any one verify this?
At work I always use the CatCom II , and have not had too much experience with the Nexiq adapter.
I do however want to buy one since it will work with everything such as cummins, cat, allison, bendix, and the list goes on from what i have heard.

Hello guys, I'm wondering if the software for meritor transmissions "TransSoft" can be supported by Nexiq USB-BT Link J1708?

If USB link drivers are installed, the nexiq will work in dual data link with CAT ET. With ET open go to 'UTILITIES' then 'PREFERENCES' then 'COMMUNITCATIONS' from the drop down menu pick 'RP1210 DEVICE' check off 'ENABLE DUAL DATA LINK SERVICE'.

Now most important, in the same window click the 'ADVANCED' box and now pick ****USB-link-NEXIQ Technologies USB -Link****** from the drop down menu.

If your laptop is bluetooth you can configure it for that too if you want but there is much more to the set up.

As for the cummins program it does not ask for dual data.

I use the USB link for both Cat and Cummins and have performed regens with them both.
