Default Audi A4 b9 HVAC problem

    Hi
    I have a problem with my audi A4 B9 year 2018

I scanned the car and it indicated a problem with the re-circulation flap motor for the aircon. The problem is intermittent sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. There was a technical bulletin from audi where they replaced the original part with another supplier and with a different part number.

HVAC Air Inlet Door Actuator for Audi 4M0820511A

I have not dismantled the motor.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar issue with the recirculation flap motor. Whether there is an electronic board on the HVAC door actuator which could possibly be reprogrammed to avoid the motor going out of position. My guess would be the motor sometimes goes out of position since the problem is intermittent

    Thanks

    Hi
Thank you for your reply. You mean you replaced just the motor in the actuator unit? Or the whole actuator?

Any hack anyone found for this issue? It's my car so thinking of playing around with it to find a possible solution.

Yes, I have only replaced the servo motor when it malfunctions and then make the basic adjustment to all the gates. Changing everything is just in case it makes noise in the floodgates (if your car you can try to lubricate it to stop making noise)

There's no noise. The problem is intermittent. The cold air at times doesn't blow into the car. When ac is off air blows into the car

The malfunction is intermittent, before putting it on, you already tried to make an adjustment to the floodgates, it will not eliminate the servo motor malfunction, as you said in the 1st post there is a change in the servomotor.
From my experience and from the brand in question, replacing the servomotor with the one mentioned in the technical bulletin will solve the problem (they are expensive).

Yep you are spot on. Very expensive haven't even dare ask the dealer for the price. I'm trying to figure a hack till i travel abroad maybe to get one. The dealer here tends to charge like three times what it is from dealers abroad.
