I don't think they are bothered about a phone line, I just filled in my VM number and it accepted it. Could I be missing something? the posts a few days ago said you don't need one.

just a note though the offer says friends and family so will sky ask me who my friend or family at sky is ?? eg: which sky engineer is your mate whats his name etc

Whats the worst they can do?? Pull the offer and say you cant have it for that price...Once you sign up for the half price offer, its done.
You have committed no fraud. Law of contract, offer, acceptance and consideration.
Offer - You offered to pay xx amount for the service, and the provider laid out their t&c's. You read their t&c's and submitted your offer, they duly considered your offer immediately as you had accepted their t&c's, and then accept by sending you an email. At no point through signing up did I see a message saying it was only for a certain group of people.
thanks guys you all been so helpful - one final thing though - ive filled out the sky deal but a littel confused about the phone line and broadband thing.
i have VM phone and broadband - im happy with that and dont want to move this to sky. But i was just talking to sky and they said i have to put my phone number in so that they can send updates to the sky box via the pohone line - so presumably the sky hd box will have to have a phone connection line or something !! i dont want them running wires everywhere etc or more importantly messing up my phone and broadband !! can someone explain this please or should i just say i dont have a phone?! sorry guys i know i sound really thick but i have no idea about sky / satallite
Just got my email confirmation and date and log in details to my account to follow and welcome pack on its way, soon as you stick the card in you enter into the agreement. No mention of freinds and family, I entered a random number and it worked! They are capturing the cable veiwers as they know whats happening and I had a rep round last week saying they are offering Vm customers special deals, good job I did not sign. I will keep broadband as it is not limited as S*Y is to 2 gig pm. Don't know about the phone though as it is a Vm line.
