Why did you say it's nonsense it work car start on a 98 hp
ecu hw i 7.7.0 activation nasp or turbo is in eeprom
i flash internal and eeprom with the turbo car content then the nasp ecu become a turbo ecu
the car start while eeprom data matched to the customers SAM
i not tested the car on the road because client
it work the same as in other ecus boost control switch on/off

i work on smart since before 98 before car release i have it in my hands at plant in hambach
i drove the roadster in december 2002 (released in april 2003 )

You are right. Depending on the ecu.
But your postings sounds like you could TUNE a 71 to 98 hp.
Also do not forget that i tune smart since they exist. I am in business since 1980's. I have flashed smarts with etas prof and kic over obd even before superchips released their spi...
    ;-)

you are right perhaps i explain bad
i said in r?ality that i affect a 71 ecu to a 98 hp car with installing the 98 hp data on the 71 hp ecu ecu run without dtc
not tested on road ... but i should soon

I programmed yet 451 petrol over obd but had some errors but perhaps now i have another file format
    i can test again
    perhaps CFF
