Smart Sam

Hi, i have a smart 2006 roadster in with me and i have fitted a new sam control unit and need to code the key in, i have gone to sam then immobilizer and entered the tan code but it says 'no log file for code numbers' have you any ideas? am i doing this wrong?

Any help much appreciated as i'd rather not have to take it into the dealer.

I have another pc running the same software, that should do it then?
