Fcuk up now............... ask questions later
1. Remove dash from car.
2.Open dash and remove all internal connectors and pcb from dash.
3.You will see one BIG eeprom 28C16 i think it was NEC or something like that.
4.Desolder eeprom and solder eeprom socket on it's place.
5.Read eeprom and you will see that milleage is verry simple to change. It is not coded or secured.
6.After changing eeprom information DO NOT PUT back in dash.
7.Assemble dash and put in car.
8.Give car in ignition and wait about 20 seconds then swich ignition OFF.
9.Remove dash from car and then put chip inside.
10.Put dash in car and then give ignition ON and new milleage must be on display.
Regards.
Thanks but the mileage in the becm will update the cluster to original anyway around that or is the fix to leave the eeprom out of cluster as explained to fool becm then refit eeprom and both milages should be the same? SORRY HATE TO BE THICK BUT ME AND THE BECM ARENT GOOD FRIENDS

Just do as he said and it will be ok
(I alway start and run the engine for about 1 minute without the chip in the dash, then refit chip)

Hi did you get any more info. I'm trying to do the same, can read the eeprom but can't see any logic in the numbers displayed.
Post your file and someone can correct it for you.
Edit: Never mind, saw your other post now.

Please DO NOT PM me asking for help.
Post in the forum, that is what it is here for.
I now know how to sort it. Send a copy of the file and I will talk you through it. It took a lot of playing but I can now work out mileage from bin file and edit file to mileage required.
would you share this info with me please
