PIN is in ECU and in comfort module (behind glove box) which comprise immobilizer.
Read out dump of eeprom and post here.
To adapt key you need also security bytes, so better read dump of comfort module, because it contain all 7 bytes.
Which tool will you use to learn key?

VCDS will not adapt key to immo4 vehicle.
I use VAG K+CAN (AVDI) commander with function "Key learning".
Pls read additionally eeprom of ECU.

    Login - 31487
    Component security bytes - 69 B1 81 A2 06 8E 06

You can adapt key with commander, but not with VCDS i think.

Just got the message from Abritus72 that CS bytes are incorrect. They suggest to read them through OBDII. So ignore them.

The same situation with PIN extracted from dump using dump tool. It's also encrypted. Real PIN 03138. Pls check if ECU accepted one.

To adapt key to vehicle you need to prepare dealer key. It means that you have to put 7 security bytes into Megamos 48 transponder prepared as TP23 (according JMA classification for VW). Then, knowing login, correct key learning procedure should be applied. It's impossible to make such key using VCDS. I use AVDI, Tango programmer and chips TP22-25. If you don't have such transponder, you can order key for your car according your VIN. It will be delivered with cut blade and ready to be adapted (CS inside). But correct tool for learning stage will be required. For the safety reason, it will be better if, before adaption, you save eeprom dump of comfort module, because there are Passats which die while key learning due to defective modules.

You need AVDI with VAG key learning function and order officially key by VIN. If you make business with VAG vehicles you'll get all your money back.
