    Default Ps3 very noisy when playing a game

    IS the ps3 supposed to be silent durning gameplay cuz mine kinda sounds like me xbox360 its the 60gb model its my 3rd one since 2 years ago cause the other 2 got YLOD

    and how do i stop it from going loud?

    make sure its well ventilated mate, make sure theres no obstructions to the vents etc, clean it make sure theres no dust or anything, it deffo shouldnt sound like a 360

    yeh ive had it out on the floor horziontally since i got it cause i was afraid another ps3 would get a ylod . also how long does it take for your fans to speed up in game?

    well mate , ive got the 40 gb its just over 2 years old the only time fans get high on it is when i first turn it on (i think they go high for few seconds to blow any dust out ) and even at that its not loud, i never ever hear my fans during games apart from when waiting on a game loading or sumet then youll hear them still very quiet tho
