In each unit there is serial number.
If your serial number is not illegal for a versions of the software you can work with this version of the software.
It depends on serial number in a unit.

hi!

My friend gave me his not working cable - vag106 clone. it worked with VCDS 10.6.0. he forgot to disconnect internet and when he run VCDS it updated the cable firmware and killed it. I've tryied to repair it with VIDPIDfix, then i got another cable that works with VCDS 10.6.2(i dont have any more cables that works with VCDS 10.6.0) and read its chip with Mprog3.0a, erased 'killed by update' cable and programmed it with the file i read from working cable. Now VCDS 10.6.2 reactions:

*no cable connected to PC:

*cable connected to pc but not to car:

*cable connected to car and pc:

has anyone got an idea how to fix that cable?

To repair the cable you must reprogram atmega 162 too.

It must reprogramm it but you need to use the proper version of VCDS
if you will reprogramm with 908 dumps you need to use VCDS 908
Otherwise you'll "burned" again

Yes full manual you can find for free in the ross-tech.com web site
Everything it is for free. Just the genuine tools are for the money.

If you read this thread from the begining you'll find the dumps for reprogramming and how you can do it.
Please don't star to the finish.
Well I know that it is a lot of unusefull stuff here but this is it. You can find a very usefull things here.
908 dumps are the last onece for free.
