there is a solution for the latest beta version, I didn't test it, if someone want to do it ok, then post results here

I tested,everything working but only on ft232BL/BM

In that .ept is forced usb 1.1, bus power is rised to 100 mA, and 2 options selected (compared with 908.ept).
Is OK?

Hi, I have Chinese clone VAG-COM 10.6 with VCDS 10.6.0. Because there are still some problems with the cable ? it is not possible to make Auto-Scan, some modules don't work, I would like to use dump and soft 908. I read almost whole this thread but I'm still not sure what I need.

My cable has FTDI FT232RL, Atmega 162V, flash 1.81.

And now questions:

1) Do I need all 3 dumps (2 for Atmega and 1 for FTDI) or is it enough to use .EPT dump for FTDI (version 908)?

2) I downloaded .EPT dump for FT232RL from http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...tml#post816515 but when I opened it in MProg it shows me "Device type: FT232BM". So can anybody confirm that this dump is really for FT232RL?

Hi, a friend of mine has bought a vcds 10.6 and he connect it on the internet and his interface stop to work. I have found here on dk several dumps. I try first time with 908. All went good, but if i connect on the car I cannot see any module. If I push about, the serial number is there , it is fully registred/activated every thing seems to be ok. I try also vers 11.2. Same thing. If I test the interface I have Interface OK, status ready k1 ok k2 ok can not ready. The interface is with ft232bm. When I feed up the interface at 12v the led glows red and then green and stay green. Any one can give me a suggestion? It can be erased also the pld?

Uninstall the vcds software (it is now transformed into something else, dangerous for your interface) ! Remove rt-updater from start up.
Reinstall the vcds 11.2 (or what ever dupms you have) into a DIFFERENT location (not the old one!). BUT do not install drivers !!!
Re-flash the interface with 11.2.
Put interface into computer , drive it manually to install drivers into the new location (where it is vcds.exe)
Must work.
Try not to use internet while vcds is runnig.

As I know it can't . Some people trick this module by adding , if I remeber well , 2 resistors (2.2 ohms?). You can ask liviudiaconu he had that problem solved as i know)

Are you shure it works in RL interface?
I ask because I have a blocked chinese cable VAG106, with FT232RL, and after dump 11.2 firmaware, the test says: Port ok, Interface found, type Ross tech...., K1 and K2 ok , but status failed self test. Do you hace any idea about what was wrong?

I saw your post. Additionaly to reflash with 11.2 dump, have you done anything else? like some hardware modification, etc..)

what do you mean with a good loader?, could you explain or describe the step that you followed to get a succesfull reflash and a working vag-com?
