when testing with 11.3 , how many times have you test the interface and did you unplug/plug before each test both part (OBD and USB) of the interface ?
Because if you have tested only ONE time it is , I am afraid, irellevant. It should be tested at least 2 - 3 times (with plug - unplug of the interface each time).

First remove stc chip like i marked in pic then you will probably need to reflash ftdi eeprom after that reflash atmega with 908 dump (flash and eeprom) configure security bits and you will be good to go. I had good experience with that kind of hardware.

I'm new on this Forum... I've read lots of threads about reflashing EEPROM for china cables. I've got a 106 cable. Can I use your guide for making my cable working again?

When I conntect to the car with the cable, the LED turns green. when I plug in the USB into my PC i goes over to red... The Test on VCDS 908.1 says "cable found, port ok and so on" but it always says that I'm not connected with my car?!?! So is your guide the right one for me?

Its simple:
you can open this file by ponyprog (before you need to choise chip Atmega 162 in ponyprog), then save flash files as flesh.hex, and save eeprom as eeprom.bin

rutracker's file include both, if you use ponyprog, you only need to select ATMEGA162, then erase all device, set memory flag according rutracker, and then write both memories cliking on "write device" button.

I have tested 11.2 dumps with 11.3 software version so as I expected, the interface was deleted. So just limit to the other versions.

Great job dodobird.
You tested what we aspected that will happend.
ross-tech when upgrade the softwear they do to blacklist the clone serials and for a littel bit to introduce something new.
When they saw that the new dumps show up they blacklisted.
I suppose that on their web shop they have VCDS 10.6.4 with blackliste for this dumps too.

Thanks Bat21 guidance and VCDS10.6.3 install file uploaded by Magadan, I have a VAG106 chinese cable working with Fw11.2 and VCDS10.6.3, but, always there is one but, there is a little remaining problem, less than a problem, an complication:
the procedure to get a sucefull conection is the following:
first I plug VAG106 only in USB port(not in the car),
secondly, I have to run VCDS10.6, the version installed from cd that come with the cable(panda face cd),
ones VCDS10.6 main windows opens, I plug the other end of cable in car port.
After that I close VCDS10.6. I get ERROR 3, I have to disable and enable again Ross-tech Direct USB interface from control panel.
Finally I can run VCDS10.6.3 and run test or whatever, and it works.
I figure that all this is related to FTDI RL, but I don't know how to fix it.

I'm sorry I do not follow you.
Please tell me , if you have an ft232RL based interface and you tried to use the original VCDS 10.6.3 interface how do it worked?
Did you try an Autoscan ito a car or what?
I asked you this just becasue I know that the interfaces FT232RL based works with modified ( cracked ) softwears.
