So you have to use package for FT232BL.
Search for it on previous pages or on rutracker.
Remove software from PC, use FTCLEAN and clean registry.
First flash 93c46 or ft232 and check if it works.
If not you have to reflash atmega![]()
used MProg to reflash the FTDI devIt now shows in device manager
or will it need to be connected to a car before i will know if its still working
Oh and by the way if my post has been at all helpfull

you have at least two (2) options:
1. plug into the car
2. supply on your desk the tool using 12V supply voltage (pin 4&5 = GND or minus (-), pin 16=VBAT or plus (+)
with the second option you can easily check all the time if your tool works properly without running to the car.

You need to connect to the car.
In some cases you just get the FTDI232's EPROM erased and after a reflash with Mprog everything is OK.
But in some cases, after you reflash the FTDI232's EPROM you can see the "Ross Tech HEX device" again in the Device Manager but the ATMEGA is compromised.. that is, the ATMEGA's dump gets changed and marked as cloned.
In that case you need also to reflash the ATMEGA.

first check what are the pins allocated from UPA according to Atmega162, MOSI, MISO, SCK, RST.
than identify the pins on your PCB at Atmega162 - these pins are the first 4 pins of the uC, and also the right order it is like obove.
for supply use any 12V connected direct into the OBD plug: pins 4&5 GND(minus) and 16 VBAT (plus).
be careful also to connect the GND from UPA to GND of the tool otherwise you will get an error ... this connection is to have the same refernce for supply and also for programing connections.
