That's seems to be a miss or wrong connection problem...

OR... maybe ATMEGA has SPIEN disable.

If so, you need a HVPP - High Voltage Parallel Programmer.

I have a VCDS interface with "VAG 10.6" written on it. It has been working OK for a while! Once I tried to use it on a car, and the computer did not recognize it.

Tried to uninstall the drivers, but still no good. Tried to install it on an other computer but the problem is the same.
How could I solve this problem?

Tell him that:

1. I never say that's possible to set HH from CC with uC content preserved. No, you must delete content, write and set fusebits and lockbits..
Like functionality FF or CC (or 0C in the case mkAVR) is the same.

2. Look on the attachment: on first row are lockbits and on second are EXTENDED, for ATMEGA162.

In mkAVR.. If i set only bodlevel0 and bodlevel1, appear F9, or if i set F9 manually appear like in my attachment, only bodlevel1 and bodlevel0 enabled, so, ALL bits, include "grayed" are 1, ok? because F9 (h) = 11111001, ok? So, he consider inexistent grayed bits as 1-disabled, OK?
If is correct, on my atachment appear on first line 11 (grayed)001100, so, CC(h).

That's translate from ponyprog and work verry fine in eXtremeBurner.

In mkAVR he consider firs two bits "not exist" (but i think must consider "disabled" too, like in "extended case") next two enabled so 00 and last 4 1100, in this case is 0C.

First try yust reflash ftdi whit Mprog.
If you chip is BL I am ataching file to reflash.

ovi the last version in romanian is VCDS 10.6.4-Roj
And for this you need dumps in Romanian.
English dumps don't work.
