I was trying to open VCDS with olly but I have problems. With chinese 11.11.3 and older 908 too.

Hi, i have one qestion:

I have cable 908,now i have instaled version 10.6.4,and now it says that status ok ,but not plug in car...

Any solution or this version does not work with 908 cable? if not what to do next? only installing 908 software or do i have to use programer to make dump to 908?

First of all serail from 908 it is blackliste in futhure versions
Second you must plug it into the car
Then my advise it is do not try becasue it will erase it.
If you did it maybe the licence is allready erased.
Try again with 908 softwear and you'll see if it is working
You can upgrade it if you want. Any VCDS tool can be upgraded

It is a pitty that user borysgo2 uses other's feather to make himself look nicer.......
no GAL solution was developed by me and first published long long time ago on garageforum.co.uk .......
I did it for all people not only for borysgo2.......

Chinese use not your decision. Chinese changed a flash atmega.
In these a cable won't suit flash to the old version.

Excuse me. I wasn't right. The diagram of this cable is completely identical to the diagram of mister sky59.

Friend have gaved me a VAG118 clone to update. I have unsoldered STC, R50,T5. I have flashed atmega with 11.11.0 dump, when tried it with VCDS, there is information that FW is unknown and VCDS can't upload FW 1.84, what could be wrong with it?

Mate did you used eeprom + firmwear when you upgrade?
Set the fuse bits?

I use eeprom and flash, but I haven't changed fuses. I will try in second.

I used
Low fuse: CD
High fuse: DC
Extended fuse: F9
Lock fuse: FF

previous was:
Low fuse: CD
High fuse: DC
Extended fuse: FB
Lock fuse: FF



My own cable work with the same settings and files without problems.


Next friend gave next clone to update and there is problem too, at first after soldering there were errors with connections but it can read and write something. After flashing cable is death. LED is not working at all. This cable don't have STC and it was on RL VCDS 10.63 version.

Try CD, DC, F9, CC
Take a look if the 7805 it is good
Or Atmega it is blocked
Take care if you playing with fuse bits

CC or FF is the same about FUNCTIONALITY. CC mean that Atmega cannot be read.

Maybe I have to solder back one of the elements? Resistor only?

When I read dump after flashing it's ok, but when I do TEST in VCDS, there is info about unknown FW version still, it can't be updated by VCDS.

Or I have to unsolder GAL? But I'm not sure if this will delete some functions? Or everything will work, on K-line and CAN?

For Ft232B version, it work with extract STC, diode/reseter/transistor and one resistor... reflash atmega and/or FT232.
For FT232R version, must extract STC, diode/reseter/transistor, R50,R51, GAL - for reprogramming, reroute 3 wires and reflash too FT232 if is necesary and ATMEGA.
Will work with loader.

Hello all,

I have a chinese VAG 11.11 interface that currently is not working as I receive the message with "license". Could someone give me all the information on how to repair it? Can I find somewhere all the steps to repair it? Do I have to buy some new devices? I would appreciate a response for a beginner with each step to make. Thanks in advance
