Friends I have maybe a dumb question. I know that maybe many of us have got a bad VagCom/VCDS interface and the main reason of this thread is to safe/reprogram/reflash it taking to live again, but my question is, as many interfaces today are very similar, which other uses/firmware/software this cable can be moded to work as? Something like the CANtieCar interface.

ATMEGA in external programmer - file dump.bin
FTDI - ept file via MPROG
    93** - via serial programmer
Which file should I use for GAL ?

I mean version 11.11.0 from this thread.

    I have got RL version.

"FTDI - ept file via MPROG

If you have RL version you don't need "93Cx6" dump.
Gal dump if you'll search, you'll find. Here...

Mate the 93Cxx it is there th eeprom of FTDI FT232BL/BM
You can flash in this case by USB using MProg
But also you can flash the eeprom 93Cxx using an external programmer ( for example using PonyProg )
    You got it now
    Good luck

it doesn't matter which type of external eprom ftdi use ...c46 or c56, you can use it on both of them, difference is in ftdi chip bl or rl, becase you can't use same eeprom template on both chips
