Yes, please explain what has to be done. I want to upgrade 704.1 cable to newer 11.11 version.

Hi,
I want to reflash FTDI (RL) with dumps for vag 10.6.2 but no look to find this dumps.
No free dumps for (FTDI) 10.6.2?
Can I use (ept) dump from 9.0.8 to reflash FTDI from a cable that uses 10.6.2 ?

FTDi it is the same
You need to change the Atmega dump if you want to reflash or to upgrade/downgrade the version of VCDS
Don't make confusion

P.S. The dumpr for FTDi it is the same in 908 and in the 10.6.2
All you need it is to find an Atmega dump for the version you need to reflash

For the start I will try reflash only the FTDI, maybe Atmega is ok.... if it is not ok, I will not try to reflash Atmega, because FTDI is RL and GAL must be removed... and so on.
But EPT for RL will work with BM/BL ?

No there are diffrent ept for BL/BM and RL
You can try like this first reflash the FTDI
If it will work you are a lucky guy
If not...

Hi!
I need some help. When I try to connect to any control unit in vcds, the program freezes and after som time write Too many communication errors to continue! When I get the cable everything works perfect but after some time all get wrong. Tried with 10.6.4, problem is the same...

Mate
First of all unistall your softwears. Erase the rigistry ( you can use a CCcleaner for this )
then reboot the OS
After this install the VCDS softear back
And Test it in a car
Please teaka look after this into the ABOUT and you'll see if the tool it is still activated/registred
If itsn't then you'll know what to do next. Maybe you need to reflash the tool.

I tried with other laptop what has fresh xp and problem is the same. Tried reprogramm eeprom with external programmer and tried to reprogram with Mprog

Mate
If you have an unregistred/unactivated message then for sure your tool it is erased.
So all you have to do is to reflash the Atmega and the FTDI ( if this need ) and then install a fresh Windows and VCDS softwear.
After this DO NOT CONNECT this computer TO THE INTERNET....EVER
Or you'll reflash your tool allways.

P.S. there's also solution to not flash your tool anymore, well just if you want to upgrade it.
