Ya,you may be very right, one of the reasons i have not talked about it since i joined.I do know how to make any banned eeprom appear unbanned by modifying the program. But you may have other methods for your work around.

    Preserving all functions, no.
If you want to have all functions must reprogramm GAL/ATF and reroute 3 routes.
Must reflash Atmega, too and use proper soft.

Why not try version 12.03. If your interface is functional should work!

If he has an interface running 11.2 for sure will not work with a higher version then 11.2 maybe with a previos version ( Only a moded 11.3 works with that dump )
Much more then this newer versions then 11.11.0 will use its own serial and it will not works with other dump. Only with its own serial
    Try and see
    Good luck
P.S. - serials till 11.11.0 was extracted from old version of VCDS tool. After this all serials are extracted from newer version of VCDS where the Atmega dump it is mariaged with the FTDI ID

First of all it is free dump for 12.03 here on the forum? Someone share some dump for 12.10.3 but no one confirm if realy works.

And second one your advice it is totally different from liviudiaconu's ...

L.E.-meanwhile mattydr67 post it, now it is clear.

I you want an unfunctional cable go ahead. But you better be able to reprogram everything back after you try. Also why use a beta version ? Does it have something you really need ?

oh,just checked the beta 12.10.7 an the serial #0F2A9D716h is banned in it.
an also banned in 11.11.06 so i would think the 12.10.3 has it banned ,so that
dump here of it will not work.

    @alexm1
That dump for 12.10.3 was shared here in the forum as I remember
But it is for just one kind of tool ( as the one who shared the dump said )
This tools it is that chinese sh..t tool without GAL/ATF
The dump it is mariagged with its STC. So if you have other kind of tool even you reflash it with this dump, the tool need the STC to work. And no any STC, it need the one allready flashed for that version...12.10.3
So alex don't waist your time with this chinese sh..t VCDS 12.10.3
Because first of all it is a Beta version and it is full of bugs and not stable for sure ( Me I didn't use the Beta versions anymore )
So if you want to flash your tool with a new free dump then try with VCDS 11.11.0 dump and you can find also the Loader for it.
My advise it is to disable for ever the internet connection in the computer that you use the VCDS or creat another partition without internet
And when you need to use your tool then boot in that partition for VCDS
in the other partition u can use it everyday but no VCDS on it.
Or buy a tool that cannot be erased by the internet ( a HQ clone ) and you'll have no problems with the tool. It will cannot be erased ever ( dosen't matter when you use the internet connection - you can use it durring the diagnostic session too )
And you can get newer versions.
Of course this solution it is a littel bit expencive then the chinese one
    Good luck
P.S. - as liviudiaconu told you you need to make some change in the PCB and reflash GAL/ATF if you need to have a good RL flashed tool
About Chinese softwears. This one cannot protect you against the ross-tech servers - so your tool can be erased

I have been using a modded cable with a 11.2 loader with no issues but today it was killed. I have taken the PC date back to August 2011, have RT found a way to kill all cables?

I have never had any issues using an internet connected PC.

Why do you think the program phones home ? .Its just another security feature they use.Its phones home to check if your serial # is in the ban list. That is why everyone says never allow it to connect to internet .Now you need to reprogram the cable
an stop the program from using the internet.Ie Your serial # is banned on the net.It probably isn't banned in an earlier version of VCDS so will work as long as it doesn't connect to the net. It may have just been added to the internet ban list, that is why it may have worked before but doesn't work now if connected to the net.
