    FT232BL? haven't memory, so no need ept, is by default 0403 6001.
    FT232RL?
    Mprog-> new ->...Device type = FT232R..save as..

    See in attach, are the files "by default" from FTDI.
    Every new FTDI 232 BM (without external memory) or 232Rx arrive with this parameters..VID 0403 PID 6001 =USB to Serial

    In yours cables must install driver from FTDI like serial adapter and made correlation between COM_y from interface with the same COM_y from (VCDSLite or VAG 409)->Options->PORT..
    Is recommended to choose COM1 to VAG and realocate COM1 for Serial converter.

    Device manager -> Ports-> COM_z (assigned to FTDI) -> Port settings -> Advanced-> port number...Com1 (can be in use..) ok-ok-ok...yess..etc to all questions..

    That if your device is with FT232.

    If not you need another driver:Attachment 288960

    Hello DK,
    I have old VCds cable from China version 8.214 and something is wrong with it. If I connecting the cable to the car without CAN everything goes OK,but if I do connect to the car with CAN (example Touran 2004) program hangs on and after while I have a note: The cable not find... Does anybody know which chip refusing to work properly? Thank you

    @pardul: try to read the fusebit and lockbits from atmega first... after write atmega with readed bits.
    @art64: do a test with interface only powered (connect only pin 16=+12V and 4-5 =GND).
    In in Option-Test appear K1-2=OK, CAN OK...can chips can be defective.
    If not...can be old version=>try rewrite with 11.11.0 dump and use VCDS 11.11.0

    My oppinion is the interface is erased or older version...

    If I do connect only
    pin 16=+12V and 4-5 =GND,everything goes OK - I wrote about it. And the CAN can't be OK in this case.( In this case: K1 -OK, K2-OK, CAN -not ready) But if I will do connect to the car equipped with the CAN , another message appears: "the Ros s tech cable did not find...." It can't be old version,because failure occurs suddenly a few years ago then I did connect to some one Audi. I bought a newest version 12.10,but the old version is better sometimes. The new cable do not ecu and immo swapping in immo 3 system. So I dream fix the older cable.
