In this pump you can add keys only without VCDS.
One key in ignition, with second key you have to close driver door. Here is instruction:

thanks I got log codes from tool developer
wrong part was installed,
new part number=1K0-907-375-AD
used part number=1K0-907-397-AD
They also recommended to look at Partslink24.com for replacement part numbers .

1k0 907 379 AD is correct number, VW offers replacement new pump with 375 ending, it's the same pump.
Hi all,
I just bought my very first VagCom cable (from China). I am trying te determine if the cable is broken or that I am doing something wrong. The cable is connected to my laptop.
When connected to the car, the cable is showing a steady green light and the Ross-Tech USB interface is found, but not the interface itself (see image 1). When disconnected from the car only the USB library is found (image2)
error_connected_to_car.jpgerror_NOTconnected_to_car.jpg
My question is, should the cable be visible in device manager, even when it is not attached to the car (only to the computer)?
Thanks for the answer.![]()
Ahh, ok thank you. Does this mean the cable is broken, or can it be fixed? Because the cable is not visible in device manager when it is only plugged in to the computer , but it ?s visible in device manager when it is plugged in to the computer and to the car.
Edit: installed to another win7 laptop with original software (and all the recommended prerequisites like disabling network connections, etc.) Now the cable is detected by VCDS and it can communicate more or less with the car. I say "more or less", because I get an "too many communication errors to continue" message. I'll update if get it working.

Can 15.7.1 china clones be updated to 15.7.4 ??
If not does anyone know where to buy 15.7.4 clone cheaply.
typically clone cables (bought from china or elsewhere) only work with the software supplied on the cd. Once you get said cable DO NOT USE with original software, it will brick your cable. There are ways to restore these cables but typically the hardware require and the amount of time are more than just buying a new 20$ cable. There are some high quality clones out there (typicaly from EU) that cost a bit more but work very well.
Your cable should be seen in device manager when plugged into computer (do not have to have OBDII plugged in car). In VCDS click options then Test, it should find the interface and let you know it is not connected to car. Once plugged into the car the OBDII chip will have power and running test again will show you the protocols you can use for that car (CAN, K1, K2, etc).
Clone cables must be used without internet access on the laptop you have installed the software.
hope this helps![]()
