Friends I need some advice. I have a doubt, maybe a dump one. I have a 0x44HW based VCDS cable with FT232BL showing VID(0000) / PID(0000) info. Cable has no USB connection with computer. Then damage is in FTDI IC or it associated eeprom?????

Anybody has kolimer files converted to hex?
bin2hex not working under win 7 64 bit.same situation if i use VM with xp 32 bit.

Why do you need it in hex? Avrdude can write raw .bin file without problems.

Brrr...i don't like avrdude.I use Extreme Burner, it is more user friendly.

No reason for that at all, but I do attach dumps (hex for flash, eep for eeprom) and fuses screen shots for both 0x44 and 0x46 versions.

Last time i used this fuse CD DC F9 CC FFFFFF56 for 12.12. What are the differences?

Actually fuses are a bit different for kolimers dumps.
avrdude.exe -p m162 -c usbasp -e -U lock:w:0x3f:m -U efuse:w:0xfb:m -U hfuse:w:0xdc:m -U lfuse:w:0xcd:m -U flash:w:Flash1.96_HW_0x44.bin:r -U eeprom:w:eepromavr.bin:r

It's always better to burn via this command line the raw bin file.

By a strange circumstance when connecting my vagcom to the car a short circuit occurred and the FTDI FT232RL chip died, now windows does not detect anything at all and the only thing I had left was to replace the chip. I have a board that I had at home ("USB to TTL converter with FT232RL") but what has been my surprise that when installing this chip to my vagcom, now I can not reprogram it and I do not know what to do. Windows yes, recognize it, but Mprog does not allows to write it.
What advice could you give me?

0403 and 6001?
Is a little strange solution.

It works very well.
The tool originally was 7.0.4 and was upgraded to 12.12 and now 17.1.3.

ok got it. The software with the cables gives .rod file missing errors for all these vehicles:

No way to get a better crack for this 17.1.3 VCDS cable I have? Or use an older vcds version? Communication and rod file errors .
