i get the same error.

it seems to me that the hacked dll is returning some sort of error code and then not launching the software, only giving me the option to exit, as the number next to the word interface changes depending on what setup I'm using eg.

if I try the software without a cable I get "usb interface0 not found".
if I try the software with a cable I get "usb interface3 not found". if its plugged into the car or not. if the ignition is on or not.
if I try the software with my 11.11 cable, as a last resort, I get "usb interface1 not found".

on a side note is there a way to update my 11.11 cable to firmware 1.96? as I could then try that.

My 17.1.3 doesn't work well lots of problems. seller not taking the return.

can these cables be updated? I have a 11.11 that's working and has an atmega162, and a non working 17.1 with atmega162.

ok read some of the thread and it seems sort of. I have a USB-to-USART interface which connects to FTDI on my Arduino board. could I use this? my 17.1 interface that doesn't work has what looks like 2 headers, one whith pins the other without.
