Can You KenshinPT tell me, does your 908 dump supports also CAN bus, because, when I use it, I can see only K-line -OK, Can - Not ready. I have Skoda Octavia 1.9Tdi 81kW, model year 2002(I suposse, I have can in the car). Can be problem in FTDI chip, because I have FT232BM and You use FT232BL or RL?

No problem at all you maybe have CAN but when you test the interface will not show CAN-OK, just in the new car after 2005.
I saw this just on, let say PASSAT 2008
So don't worry you can conect to the CAN.
    Good luck

Everything is fine with your interface
Your Skoda is being used for diagnostick K-Linje only.In this case you will see "CAN-Not ready"

OK, when I haven't CAN bus, how can I connect units like (09-Cent.Elect., 35 - Cenrt. Locks, 25- Immobilizer, etc.) I am shure, that I have this units, but I can't connect to them. When I use Auto scan (I can see units: 01: Engine, 03: ABS Brakes, .08: Auto HVAC, 15: Airbags, 17: Instruments, 19: CAN Gateway, 46: Central Conv., 56: Radio)???

    Hello.
Finally decided to upgrade my china cable v.8.05 after a long time thinking about it.
I used the package posted by KenshinPT (post #453) and all was good from the first try out.
First flashed the FTDI eeprom, then flashed ATMega162,and in the end set Security Bits.
Now i have a full features cable v.9.08.

    Thank you.

    Default Help with ATMEGA 162

Hello guys...First, I want to say that this topic is really helpful, and want to thank everyone who provided all those information....But...As I'm not so familiar with electronics (but i hope, in the near future, it will be changed, at least a little ) I'm looking for some help with pinouts for atmega162...

In the picture of my interface, where are pins 1-4???

The white dot on your PCB is next to the pin 1 from your ATMEGA chip. From that point count from left to right and you will have the nexts pins numbers..2...3...4...aso
    Good Luck

White dot is circled with red now. From that dot the next red marked pins are 1-2-3-4. Counting the same as I did and going all around chip you will find others pins.
