OK...i've been searching here for help and have read this topic from the beginning, but cannot remember have i seen good explanation (maybe i have missed something) which is the difference between original ross tech software and cracked one which you get from china supplier. Are these dumps here all related to original roostech VCDS software? If yes, why do suppliers don't send original software with dumps? How are these softwares cracked by the suppliers, and which are basic differences between these cracked versions due to a different "china supplier"? Were they cracked in the same way?

Because i have also one interface 10.6 (original one - made in china) and it works a little bit, but then stops working...After reinstalling - works...and then again doesn't work after "obviously" some unacceptable actions...but maybe this is caused by Win7x64...but unluckily don't have one win xp x86 just for diagnostics...

Maybe chinese can tell you why.
What I can tell you that the chinese tools VCDS 10.6 are in fact 908 or 912 and they crack the sw to work with them.
They have stocks, what can they do with item? Throw away?
No they made this crack of 10.6 but it's a crap.

OK...i know that for 10.6 - that it really does not work as it should....Cause i still haven't found one that really works (explanations in long coding helper,...etc)

OK but dumps for 908(912) work with original software, Am i right?...so how come they couldn't have cracked new 10.6? What has been changed in 10.6 due to an older version 9.12? just additional 100 codes-from 13900 to 14000?

The VCDS 10.6 chinese tool works with cracked softwears 10.6, 912, 908, 805, 704.
New protocol like UDS will never work with craked softwear.

I get a vag com 7xx and a want to upgrade to 908.I get everthing from the forum what a thanks for everybody!One thing what i am not sure.To flash the atmega need a file for atmega VCDS_805_Atmega_162.bin for 908 or there is a file for atmega 183flash_908eeprom.hex.So which file need to flash to atmega?Because i did not find atmega VCDS_905_Atmega_162.bin file on the forum.

Hi,

I believe that this "183flash_908eeprom.hex" was a compilation made by me. However none of those files are from my own work. They are just a compilation of 2 distinte files (EEPROM + FLASH) that I joined together.

This file comprises the flash 1.83 and the 908 english dump in the same file (also know as DEVICE FILE in ponyprog)

In conclusion, you open ponyprog, then "OPEN DEVICE FILE" and then you point to that HEX file and then you click "WRITE DEVICE".

Same chinese crap based on FT232RL with cracked sw.
You can try but you'll cannot make a good diagnostic.

Cable is "10.6" (chip is FT232BL). I installed VCDS 10.6 that is supplied with the cable but I keep getting error : "Cable not found Error Code=-1". I talked to a "seller" (I prefer to call him/then CON ARTIST) and he explained to me that I need to connect interface to a car, then connect USB, turn ignition on and then install software HELP PLEASE!

I can not open software with or without interface connected to the USB. Message is the same "Cable not found Error Code=-1".

Cable is not "10.6" .This is 805 , look atmega 80.
I have to atmega 70 the same pcb.

Remove these components marked in pic, after that flash interface with good dump ( you have here everything needed) , you will get working vcds 908 or if you can get newer eeprom dump for version 10.6 ( flash 10.6 is here)
