Does anyone have original interface pics:
1) Which would have FT232BL/BM rather than RQ?
2) Which would be 0x44 hardware? I have seen HEX-PRO v4, v5 and v6.1 and they all are HW 0x46
Thanks

Hi guys
I reprogrammed my VCDS 10.6 clone interface.
I followed the @ouldsmobile method with Arduino UNO that I thank.
I installed the ArduinoISP sketch from File-> Examples> ArduinoISP, without any power supply only with the USB cable for programming.
I powered the 12V VCDS interface.
Arduino has been powered only with the 5V of its USB programming cable.
I connected only the VCDS GDN to Arduino GDN.
All perfectly successful at the first stroke without any hitch.
I reprogrammed the VCDS with "eepromavr_HW_0x44.bin" and installed the last version Eng.18.2.0, started with "VDCSLoader 6.1", test OK all OK.
I have also installed Italian version VCDS-ITT-17.08.1-Installer.exe and always started with "VCDSLoader 6.1", everything works tesy OK all OK.
I attach photos.
I have some questions:
Why there are "eepromavr_HW _ ***.Bin" for all languages?
Can I stay connected to the internet when using VCDS?
If there is a new version of the VCDS the interface is updated?
I saw that there is a new version of VDCSLoader v6.3 but when the download tells me it has a virus, you have news.

Interesting. So you added the pins to your board?
Because at Loader V2 Kolimer made multi-language EEPROM. R0$$ is reading and following the thread carefully (probably way more carefully than they monitor their support@RT mailbox) and found their ~~~~up. They fixed it in latest version so that now there is no "one fits all" EEPROM. FOr each language there is a different one.
Yes
Rather than concentrating on improving the VCDS for MQB platform, most likely they (R0$$) will try to do one more loader detect and defeat in their software. It's just a matter of time once it will be detected and workaround prepared. Probably there will be V6.4 loader with the fix applied. You might need fo reflash the cable's firmware/eeprom, though.
Kolimer implemented a workaround for Windows XP machines where the loader didn't start at once. I can't imagine who is still using Windows XP, but those actions which the workaround involved is considered as suspicious activity, that's why you are getting a warning.

As i know, RT developed 2 kinds of HW:
BL based =44, R based=46.
Chineses made in time different experiments, R based 44, Rbased 46..R based 46 with gal connections like 44..etc.
As i saw the PCB with AES seems to be 44 (pin 35 to a pad and Tx pin to pin 9 GAL.
If (not measured yet) pins 34-35 not connected but Tx=9GAL ..is not OK. For 46 TX=Pin5 GAL.
does anyone have a DUMP for gal16v8 + scheme, all links dead
// SOLVED with bypass GAL

This is old one!

This is not the RT genuine. I was referring to RT ones with BL/BM chip if such exist.
And I know how the Chinese clones look like

Hi,
I am trying to establish which of my Chinca cables would be the best to program with the USBaspi programmer.
I am aware of Kolimer v6.3, men would like info on how to get started.
Below this text are shots of the USBaspi, the 8.05 cable and the 10.6 cable.
In the post below this posting are shots of my 12.12 cable.
Please advice.
best regards,
