    c/p form another place:
Get the VCDS beta and enable BAP. Go to channel 37 - Navigation and go to Byte 7. Enable Bit 7 which is BAP. The Superb II's maxidot and MFSW use BAP which is a new protocol used by VW.

...maybe your car uses BAP also..maybe it will help

Have one more question...I Don't actually have LPT port on my laptop so i would like to buy usb->parallel or pcmcia->parallel...Both of those interfaces aren't so expensive sou i would like to know if anyone uses that? and which one is better? Maybe some of them supports ECP/EPP mode?(I have win7 x64 on laptop but also installed Virtual xp mode)
The chances of the USB->LPT converter work are very low.

I would go for the PCMCIA->LPT converter.

So..here are the reuslts...7805 didn't die-5V on output and 5V on every Vcc pin on atmega...And once more i have checked that nothing is short circuited...everything OK..
So ...what are the next possible steps? doubt that LED could be dead???

I already enabled the BAP, but no result. But I think I can answer the question for my problem: I tried to do an auto scan of the Passat B7 and noticed, that I can not select the chassis type in the auto scan menu. The Passat B7 is not available in the list :-( After I have selected the auto scan with the auto detecion option I get this message: Function not supported by the gateway!
Maybe some of you know how to add the new Passat B7 into this list or what to do to make auto scan possible?
    thanx & greets

    Atmega rester (pin 4) don't found :-/
Pin 4 of the ATMEGA is not connected to anywhere else.

If you use a magnifying glass, you'll see that at PIN4 no copper track is connected to that pin.

If you are trying to get an LPT port via USB forget it.

These USB->LPT and USB->COM work very badly. I had lots of bad experiences with those adaptors.

I am not saying they don't work at all... but for me, and if we are talking in uC programming, automation programming... usually they never work.

The best way to add an LPT or COM port in a computer that doesn't have that kind of ports is using PCMCIA adaptors.

The PCMCIA adaptors add a real physical port directly working as a real port. The USB adaptors emulates an LPT or COM port and that's the problem (the emulation).

HEY!!!! I am not saying that it NEVER works... I am talking about my experience.

    Hello boys,
the china clone VAG 10.6 supports the ASAM protocol ?
Yesterday I try to read the Engine Module of Audi Q5 my 2009. VCDS tells: "No ASAM data" and stops.
    Why ?
