I just tried and got same result. I conncted directly to 12v and pressed test in VCDS it says interface not found. The led is lit up in green color. Directly after connecting to 12V the led is red for a brief moment and then swtiches to constant green. Any other ideas?

You have flashed your interface by "VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe" orUSBasp? And we are talking about the english version?

Maybe you have to update your FTDI-Chip, see info.pdf?!

If I know right the v6.3 supports maximum only 2 languages (English + 1 additional), but my previous 17.8 cable was a multi lang. So I think that used a previous version of the BIN/HEX file. What is your opinion about it?

    Was it atmega162 based?
v6.3 supports English + 15 different languages (yes, I counted options from dropdown). Are you switching to other language every 10 minutes?
Reflash loader and use other language.

Of course not But one of my friends wanna use it with German and Hungarian languages and it supports Eng+Ger or Eng+Hun. So thats why the 17 multi lang should good for him

So I still got no answer for the package versions:
    • The v1 and v2.7 contains only 1 eeprom for 0x44 and 1 for 0x46 and the v4 and v6.3 contains eeprom for each languages. Is it means that the v1 and v2.7 are multi langs?
    • Can somebody tell me which version of \/€Đ$ use the v1, v2.7 and v4 packages?
    • Is there any way to check a BIN/HEX files about it's supported \/€Đ$ version?

Unfortunately yes! No Atmega162 chipset , no update, maybe no K(KL)-Line support.
Read some pages backward and you will find a good interface from obd2cartool.com.
