Yes, 18.2.1 AKP is already 5 months old history.
Try 18.9 english if balloon tip bothers you.

Just some info: EEPROM in HEX format are OLD and different from BIN, so to work use BIN format if using external programmer!

Why don t you share some pics?
As you described it, you did not say nothing about Atmega162 beeing on pcb....if really is not there, than maybe it is ARM cip and in this case do not waste your time...you can upgrade/repair only cable with Atmega162 inside.

FYI, loader from ge.tt and sendspace is removed. Maybe violation of their or Uwe's terms. Zippyshare has this morning release.

On zippy is the same archive...bin=...9D...hex=...9C..

NP..export .bin in .hex format and is OK.

If your hw have good bootloader, you can do update without external programer, but need 12V.
