Hi guys

I am going to update my VCDS interface (18.2) to 18.9. In case it fails due to missing bootloader, will I be able to continue using existing version (18.2) without any soldering?
Where can I check out if my interface is updatable to 18.9 only (without programmer) via USB and VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe and do I need to connect to both PC and my car connector during flasing?

Even with locked bootloader no soldering needed as you have onboard header.

I have the same Interface. You can update it only with usb.

Too much drama. If it eewrite fails (bootloader locked), then buy usbasp, connect it to header and do it.

Hello DK. I live!
There is a VCDS 16.8 eng cable + program (atmeg162 chip). I would like to have a Hungarian language. I do not want to spoil it, so I'm asking. I found the VCDSLoader v6.3 and VCDSLoader v7.0. I do not know which version to use. Is it possible to change version 16.8 to the language or just replace it with another version? I can use the current program or get a new VCDS HGJ (Hungarian version)
Do I have a good idea or have my plan wrong?

Yes, it can be done and it will work. Get latest versions of loader and vcds language of your choice.

Nope my installer is in fact vcds-drv! I could share it for testing, in case anyone needs it.

But is it still important to use a specific vcds-drv release, or is it ok to use simply the latest release from ross-tech?
