One thing:

I am getting lots of troubles with FLASH1.83 + EEPROM 908.0 while using VCDS 908.0 (original and english).

I compile that dump file (FLASH1.83 + EEPROM 908.0) and I posted here but it's not working good. It says ACTIVATED/FULLY REGISTERED but I am getting lots of errors.

So I am going to downgrade do FLASH1.81 + EEPROM 908.0.

Do the same and check it please

Keep in mind that FLASH 1.83 is only for VCDS 10.6.2 and 10.6.3 and the problem might be there because FLASH 1.81 is for VCDS 908, 912 and 10.6.0.

Flash 1.83 + EEPROM 10.6.0
I had a lot of issues when I tried to use AutoScan on VW PASAT B5, VW Golf 1.9 and 1.9 SDI
It's disconacting and I had a messege that to chack if engine is started , bla bla bla and to check the firmwear.
Any idea and if someone had this issues.

I got the same error with FLASH1.83 + EEPROM908.0 in VCDS908.0.

Its works good if just powered with 12V and not connected to the car. The TEST is succeful REGISTERED - FULLY ACTIVATED...

... but when I try to read the car the error occurs: Check firmware, check if engine is started... bla bla bla

Try using FLASH 1.81 in VCDS 10.6.0 because FLASH 1.83 is for VCDS 10.6.2 and 10.6.3

Post the results please.

HI, when I try to programmed my cable vidpidfix while I click open it gives me this error: Could not open board and when I click on it makes me write EE_Program Failded

Try this method:

1: You need the UDFIXER.exe developed by Xoom. IT's here in this thread.

2: Check the VID and PID of your cable. Right click on my computer, device manager, right click on the cable - probably it's marked with a yellow exclamation point. Then DETAILS and Hardware ID. (You'll get something like that: VID=6000 PID=FA00)

3: Open the UDFIXER and write down those values. Create the drivers.

4: Install those drivers on the yellow exclamation device.

5: After the computer detects the device as a SERIAL CABLE or something like that, you open MPROG and flash the FTDI232BL with the *.ept file. If MPROG is not detecting the cable, the drivers are not correct installed and you need to check what's wrong.

6: Then your computer will detect the SERIAL CABLE as an HEX-ROSS-TECH CABLE. At this point you're able to install the correct drivers. Just point to the VCDS folder or use other method.

7: Reflash the ATMEGA

8: Done

This will help you. Believe me

I had the same problem.

Post the results in here please because our experiments will evolve our knowledge in this area.

Searching for hours a working 805 vcds software... find lots of 908 10.6 etc.. but I want old 805 soft...cracked

somebody have it or link?

The latest dumps available in DK are:

FLASH 1.83

I am getting this error: Interface Status = -99

I thought that it was because I was using FLASH 1.83 + EEPROM 908.0 in VCDS 908.0.

The cable works good while connected to 12V but not connected to the car.

If I connect to the car I can do the TEST and I get REGISTERED and FULL ACTIVATED but when I try to access any module I get the error.

Sometimes I can acess the module... sometimes I don't.

Anyone have any ideas?

Do u have EEPROM 10.6.0? can you share it?

I had same issue using 1.83 and 10.6.0
Yesterday os Skoda Octavia I it performe AutoScan but from all controlers from the list it did just 01,02,03,05 even the car has more. If you like to do a scan on each controler no problem.
I will downgrade flash to 1.81 and I will tell you what happend next.

@spongemak yes I have it but for now this dump is not for free. ( please notice that I don't sell this, just I don't share it )
When it will show up a new version dump for sure this one will be for free.
I want 908.2 romanian dump for testing but I'm not " in rush"

hi KenshinPT ,thanks for your answer but I was able to continue to step on the reprogramming of the atmega, when I erase the light on the cable is red and green flashes I have this error on ponyprog2000 however, I well have followed the procedure for the tutorial link cable lpt on atmega and the 12V supply, "Device missing or unknown device (-24)"

I have the same error when I used 1k ohm resistors.
When replace them with 150 ohm, the error gone.
