Hi, do you have the soldering skills (and the equipment) to replace that chip?

Programming is easy: Use MProg with ftdi_mprog_RLRQ.ept from loader zip file.

hello I again, have a china Vcds 16.8.X cable, if I plug it to the HW test program and the prog start FW 1.95 eneble after update at vcds it is dead! Start the prog eepromer and rewrite the date, it's back. How do I get the 1.96 on it by PC, someone has a Ideee. I'm so happy to find this thread, and after dedicating a few hours to read most of the pages, I must say I am totally impressed by the technical skills of the folks here...
Just to quickly introduce myself: I am a reverse engineering specialist working for a well-known company (I'll let you guess the name

, deals mainly with vulnerability research and malware analysis.

I started researching VCDS just a few days ago since I wanted to perform some long coding operations on my Seat Ibiza 2018.
So I came across Kolimer's Loader and the different HEX-USB+CAN clones out there. I must say that the loader seems like a very nice project - Kodus!

Unfortunately, after more digging, I realized I won't be able to perform quite a few long codings for my car because the current interfaces won't support the MQB platform (at least according to these references: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...=1#post3408685 and https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topi...terface-error/)

I was wondering if any of you is planning to decompile the HEX-V2 interface.
Since my "hardware skills" are not as good as yours, I would be happy to offer my software skills to this project if anyone is interested to face this challenge

BTW, I noticed some people here complain about VCDS loader being detected as virus (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...=1#post3352840), so a quick tip for Kolimer - if you really care, try playing around with the UPX packer...
