Is VCD hex v2 3 VIN is user friendly? Is it worth to buy?

You can not make a hot start with Vcd$. If it's really just a hot star problem (no other mechanical malfunction), buy MPPS V 16 for $ 11-16

Thanks mate I take a gander at it....seen few YouTube video..where they copy the cold start over the hot start graph...and flash that...Thanks for the input.

Anyone know reasonable priced who does it in the Midlands.... £100 at my local but feel it's a bit pricey.

Hi this is my first post and I'd like your help.

I'm trying to flash this old 10.6 cable below.

    IMG_7899.JPGIMG_7902.JPGIMG_7905.JPG

With VAGCOMHWType has been identified as HW x046.

i am pretty pretty sure that the connections are made correctly to the USBASP ribbon cable, assuming the red stripe is pin 1. I made them using the guide I found in this thread. Pins 8 & 10 are live ground (measured with with a multimeter)

I give 12V to the cable by the OBD port and i connect the USBASP to the USB port. The drivers are installed correctly, (checked with device manager)

My problem is that the LED on the USBASP is continuously red, it won't turn green whatever I do.

I am trying to flash the Atmega chip with progisp 1.72 by I get "chip enable program error'all the time.

I can flash the FTDI chip though with Mprog.

Any suggestions ? Bad soldering on the Atmega chip ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi,

I succesfully coded a few skoda superb with VCDS 18.9 with the HEX V2 clone cable of obd2cartool. Sadly I received a 2019 model, and VCDS is complaining that the interface is old. Is there still a way to use it for long coding and adaptations on my 2019 model?

    Thanks for your answer,

    which one is IC8 ?

If you mean the STC chip I have tried to cut the line between it and the R50 resistor.

    Good photos. Try again.

    Search loader archive. Unzip it.
    Read info.pdf
Connect cable (if it has atmega162) to pc and to car or 12v source.
Use hwtype exe to check if bootloader is locked or not.
    If not use eewrite.
Otherwise read info.pdf again, get usbasp, wire it up correctly (remember, you have read info.pdf already twice), get avrdude.exe and avrdude.conf, put it unside unzipped folder with loader and run appropriate *.cmd batch file. After that if you are successful, then copy loader exe into latest vcds folder and open it.

If this doesn't help, read last 20-30 pages in this topic.
