Mateos, reflash to Kolimer's. While enjoying the cable, try to learn something more and seek this forum for good places to buy quality cables. Meanwhile this cable will fail and get to the trash itself - trust me, you will clearly see when that moment has come

HW Version : 0x44
Identification : ROSSTECH
Bootloader : Enabled
and run VCDS 18.9.0

0х44, Yes, you can flash it, I even think that the bootloader is unlocked, the protection chip and the diode are evaporated noticeably.

I have a HEX-V2 comes with 18.2.

I have FW:1.96 with bootloader enabled.

Can I use the latest VCDSLoader 7.2 with 18.9 or I have to update my cable?

If need update how can i do this? I need some special programmer?

To read the info file that is in the folder with the loader 7.2 what is stopping you?

out of curiousity, where did you buy this HEX-V2?

I'm asking because quite messy soldering caught my eye, then I noticed it's flashed to 0x44 whereas it's 0x46 in reality, also, there are some older generation chips used...

Thank you hid3 for your reply! From your experience this HEX-V2 that I bought it a bad discussion? I bought from a Chinese site.

Can you suggest a site with a quality updateable HEX-V2 cable?

The cable that I bought can I update it?

I did this Roma77 but I don't have the experience to understand. Do you have a detailed step by step guide about this procedure?

With unlocked GOATloader you can connect cable to both PC and CAR, use eewrite exe, then install vcds version of your choice, put loader exe in it, run it, do port test, update and use as you want.

Hi friends

Just to inform that i managed to flash my AES and Hex V2 cables by USB simply.

The cards are bought on Aliexx, as there are many sellers you have to have criteria to buy on Aliex. if no picture of the PCB in the ad, go your way to another seller.

1) Look at customer ratings and especially customer images that will be decisive.
2) Contact and ask the pictures of the PCB reel to the seller.
3) Enjoy

The originality of the components is a subject to debate but i think they are the same except perhaps the originals, it is my opinion.

Thank you so much for your advice. I follow the steps that you describe and everything goes perfect! I flash the cable attached to my car, then install the 18.9, update the cable and then make a test and worked.
