    vag.jpg1.96 - 0x44 - bootloader enabled
    hello guys
    I have 2 questions about my cable:
    1) It is 182 and I use with vcds 18.2 english very well in my laptop dell win10 64. I bought Other system (ODIS) and came with Lenovo Laptop WIN7 Ultimate 64... But curiously the VCDS that i already have, when I use vcdsloader nothing work, delete VCDS file and not open nothing, Just open if I dont use Loader... But in my Dell is working well.

    2) Searching about vcds loader, I found this forum, and I see my cable is looks like good.
    I am wright?
    There are some step-by-step to upgrade him?
    And what advantages if I do it?

    Hello to everyone!
    I am new to this domain of vcds flash-ing... I have a clone vcds 12.12.0 english version. I think is HW44 LB.
    Attachment 610021
    I use it from 2 years with no problems but these days when I started the scan to read for error codes from my car suddenly a windows pops-up with a message to <use a licensed interface>. Probably last time when I scanned my car the internet connection was opened and found my cloned cable... Testing the cable is ok like in the picture
    Status.jpg
    Has anyone dump files, loaders...etc, for 12.12.0 or maybe a link to download to flash the cable? Thank you for your time!
    p.s: the back of the PCB: MCP 2515, FTDI 1327 - FT232RL

    Read about Kolimer loader and update to 18.9.x if cable has atmega162 chip you are trying to hide from us.

    Update to my previous post #7952 about "HEX-V2" from AliExpress..
    So I've managed to fix this china clone.. device was not recognized correctly because of NO NAME FT232. Bought original FTDI FT232BL (6€), soldered correctly and now it works as it should!

    Not much left ahead - next step will be to replace no-name MCP2515 with proper one to make CAN always work properly
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    Yeah, already upgraded noname chip to proper MCP2515 but to be honest - I dont see any difference between them (except visual) so I didn't post info about that.

    Yeah man, I'm having the same crappy cable from Aliexpress ( BOSCAR - Jimmy Jimmy - MFer) with the same failures like you. Checked also that it is working with short cable, so did solder an old short USB cable onto it, too. So it works but as you said its way too short. Ordered new ftdi, too but not arrived until now.

    obd2cartool charges at least $10 to deliver to my country, while all others offer free shipping.

    I found this one that looks really good

    @e701
    For example this one http://www.obd2cartool.com/atmega-va...hipping-p-1554
    or this one https://www.obd2cartool.com/atm-182-...ve5jevicvufjl3

    Sure, you can also buy this crappy clones from china or somewhere else, but this will be a waste of money and time if cable will be without atmega+ftdi+mcp

    Buy a cable from Ali but .... when you ask why the scanner does not work for you, I will remind you about this flow.
    You have been told where to buy quality goods, so why these thoughtless posts.

    I think that China subsidizes shipping for small business (they must).
    My country will let these free delivery items sit in customs for months.
    Maybe it is because they sit in a bulk transport that takes time to sort.
    If I choose a vendor that charges even $1 for shipping, I seem to get it in weeks instead.
    Just a thought.

    I already had a very good cable from Aliexpress, with programming interface, which I upgraded successfully.

    I am just pointing out obd2cartool is charging extra for nothing and for everything:

    - $2.84 extra for 18.9.0... hmmm...
    - $10 for shipping (or increased price by $10 for "free" shipping)

    This one has pictures of the chips and it also states ATMEGA in the description, a refund is always possible if not as described (60 days + 15 days for dispute policy)

    EDIT: seems censorship is in place, links from Aliexpress are just removed! That's not cool
    Allow others to have some opinions please, even if they differ from yours.

    This is the one, the PCB looks good to me, the description as well
