    Hello friends! Unfortunately there is no photo board in the lot. Can not see what you are buying. Also, the store does not support payment methods, I can not pay with available methods. Not even credit card support. https://www.obd2cartool.com/vip-link...86o4so84i9m7r7

    hm... EXPERT with registration of today and 'Newbie' status? I'd take that with a huge grain of salt.

    Installation is pretty straight forward, upgrading to latest version (if chip is compatible) is covered in detail in Info.pdf (going to be renamed to _README.pdf in future releases).

    Obd2CarTool.com (which is a trusted store here) is selling brand new high quality cables with fast worldwide shipping plus they help with customs if you have a problem....
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    I just bought a genuine hex v2 on eBay cheap. It has two vin’s left out of three. Is there a way to make it unlimited without paying Ross tech for the upgrade?

    It would be appreciated by a lot of people if you could post a link to the cable that you received from Aliexpress.
    I agree, but when I posted a few weeks ago, people got very defensive and even reported it as spam.

    It is also true that the links tend to only be valid for a few days, not sure why. The store however is still selling them. Just private message me and I will send the link to you.

    I will also try to post a step by step guide on how to make the cable from obd2cartool functional. It is not very easy I must say, but will try.

    Hello,

    I'm sorry for my english , not good as it used to be , but anyone can give me some kind of help about my problem :

    i got a VCS 18.9 cable (bought 2 weeks ago) which worked for like 2 times ( i forgot it 1 week in the car connected to the OBD2 , may be it caused the issue).

    after read a lot of those 500 pages , i tried to get it fixed :

    main symptom : VCDS keep to tell me - interface is found , type interface R-T HEX-USB , state : Not connected to the car.

    i checked windows hardware config , interface is found with no error ( R-T Direct USB Interface) , VID= 0403 and PID=FA24\RT000001.

    VAGCOM__Hhtype.exe is unable to find anything ( no response)

    so i disassembled the OBD2 connector , checked the uCs , found : ATMEGA162 + FTDI232RQ + GAL16V8 , isoled continuity between pins for GAL16 and Atmega chips so assumed it was 0x44 hardware.

    after that i bought an USBASP , flashed Firmware and EEPROM from the atmega , even re-flash FTDI chips even if USB connectivy was working and after that i'm still stuck at the same point.

    does anyone have some idea?

    thanks by advance for your time.

    I had a similar problem on my new cabel from odb2cartool

    Interface is found with no error ( R-T Direct USB Interface) , VID= 0403 and PID=FA24\RT000001.VAGCOM__Hhtype.exe is unable to find anything ( no response), end the diodes did not shine on my interface.

    I restarted the computer, plug interface in OBD2 socket and then diodes started shine.

    VAGCOM__Hhtype.exe found the interface, and it works.

    I'm wondering what might be right fuse configuration for flashing my interface. In case it bricks somehow. It's atmega162, gal etc. Kolimer's software told it its hw type 0x46 but i'm sure that atmega pins 34 and 35 are connected to GAL. Fw version 1.96 already. Not need to reflash? just update vcds and loader?

    How get my interface work as K-line serial port interface? Tried ftdi vcp drivers and uncheck "boot intelligent mode" and that didn't work. I'm little scared to try rosstech drivers. Would them work? Ftdi drivers make com-port but no connection to anywhere.

    Have you checked connections between pcb and obd connector pins. Any chance that there is cracked connection on red circle? Have you supplied both grounds. signal and vehicle?

    Hello, thanks for your help,

    Soldering looks good between vertical obd connector and horizontal PCD ( picture added) , for which operation do you ask me if i supplied both grounds : both ground are bridged on the obd connector ( vertical part) and then supplied to the PCB ( horizontal) by one unique soldering :

    so from the view of this picture , only 7 pins from the OBD2 connector are wired to the PCB ( it's look ok with the OBD2 standard) :

    8- nothing
    7- Wired to soldering E
    6- Wired to soldering F
    5- Wired to soldering D
    4- Wired to soldering D
    3- nothing
    2- nothing
    1- nothing
    16- Wired to soldering C
    15- Wired to soldering A
    14- Wired to soldering B
    13- nothing
    12- nothing
    11- nothing
    10- nothing
    11- nothing

    Look for LM7805- and check for input/output voltage- after your aplly 12v to obd2.

    Look for Lm7805 pinout on google.

    After one week of continous conection to 12v , LM7805 migth be out of order.
