In 99.99 % cases Atmega content is encrypted, so what you obtain reading with usbasp will not work to be flashed to another Atmega. You can try and you will see, after you manage to solve driver problem.

All the components are powered off the USB's +5V

Funny thing that if you put it first into USB then OBD2, it will not work. And if you unplug from OBD2 with intentions to plug into another car or so, you need to unplug from USB too because it also will not work. That cable is a really "wonderful" Chinese invention

After reading this very long thread I only can say: thank you guys...
Not only for the persons answering many many times the same questions and posting solutions, but also for the ones looking for answers to their specific problems.

    I do learn from both...

I have a little progress in my cases (I programmed flash and eeprom on atmega162 by files from kolimer packs)
Now in VCDS v12.12 i have info: not plugged into car - so this is positive message but on interface led wont light for any colors - red or green
Did i broken some resistor or what? How can I test it?

    The hardware is nr. 1 I think-low cost-LQ(?)
Did you reflash with usbasp, yes?
Pay attention to fuse/lock bits + do not mix flash from x44 with eeprom from x46(and viceversa).
If you have use x46 dumps now try again with x44 dumps. (x44 and x46 are coresponding to hw type).
And you said not working with 12.12 ...install new vers 18.9.0. or 19.6.0.
Or save your time and buy something else.

I wrote you how to solve driver problem for "bad quality V2 clone" aka 18.9 clone. If not need, not ask.
For transform your 18.9 into 12.12..only if you can extract content of 12.12 atmega. Atmega, as another coleague said, is encripted.

Does anybody know how to make a good clone cable work with my2019 cars?

I know that everybody says it's not possible but I just saw a romanian guy resetting crash data from EPS ecu on Polo AW1 with VCDS clone

I asked him but he didn't want to tell me anything

Installing vcds 19.6.1 will solve this issue?
