    Hi friends

I try the 19.6.1 download from the website RO§§ in French of course, then I flash my cable with the V9.2 it was not conclusive for me, it was not stable, i can see it hang out and make me wait ... sometimes even lost the connection with the software, in short I think my vehicle was a KWP not CAN can be the reason ? no idea, otherwise it was more satisfying for me with the 18.9.1 with the charger V8.

PS: I noticed that I did not remove the registry keys from the old 1890 software before installing 19.6.1, maybe it could be the reason for the instability?

Anyway, respect to the whole team.

I have a good clone cable which I bought on AliExpress with version 16.8 more than 2 years ago. It worked fine on my previous MY14 car.
Thanks to this forum I have managed to upgrade my 'old' cable to 18.9.1 with Loader 7.2
With the updated cable I can access and code my brand new car which is a MY19 Skoda Octavia (manufactured in April 2019).
There's a trick to access the modules without the 'Unsupported Vehicle' message (and grayed out Coding and Adaptation buttons): before you enter a module you have to switch off the ignition for a few seconds. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's not. For example the 01 module is very difficult to access, because the 'time window' is very small. I had to try it like 30 times. Module 09 is much easier. If you swith back the ignition too early you still get the 'Unsupported Vehicle' message. But if you wait too long the communication times out and you get a 'No response from controller' message.
It's still better than nothing. I have managed to code all my favourite tricks and that's the point.
Of course it's impossible to grab a full AutoScan because you can't do the trick right every time VCDS enters a module. But you can still read out the fault codes on the modules one by one.
You can also grab an Adaptation Map with the ignition OFF/ON trick.
The only module that I can't access with my updated clone cable is the Multifunction Control Module (I have LED headlights). It really needs a V2 cable.
    Thanks again to this forum!
P.S. I haven't tried the new 19.6.1 yet. 18.9.1 (English) works fine and stable on my MY19 car with these 'limitations'.

    Hi!
I bought a VAG182 interface which was already upgraded with 18.9 firmware. Since the new 19.6 is out, I tried to upgrade the fw myself with USBASP programmer and avrdude. Flashed 0x44 fw first. Plugged in and windows keeps telling me that the device has a bad descriptor and is not able to recognize it. Tried flashing 0x46 fw to no avail. Fried FTDI chip, without doing nothing to it?
I also tried to read what I think is the FTDI eeprom with another programmer but no way. Here’s some photos of the pcb. I think it’s a 0x44.

I checked 19.6.1 AKP on my old VW Passat B6 2007 and it looks like it is working properly. (V 9.2)

    Hello again, my friends,
I put my hands on a different free vcds clone this time: 10.6 . This one when connected only to the car, the led shows green, when connected to laptop and car, the led shows red/orange and gives the error Interface not connected to the car. When I tried to read the HWType it said "Interface not found" . VID: 403 and PID : FA24
Is this flashable/upgradable or easy repairable? Is it worthy to be fixed ? Thank you kindly!

Remove the IС8 and D7, flash it and everything will be fine.

Throw these chips into the trash bin.

Why did the Chinese put these unnecessary chips on the PCB? Isn't it cheaper for them to keep only the minimum?
