USB\VID_0403&PID_FA20\5&219D0984&0&2 this what I'm getting on XP
USB\VID_0403&PID_FA20&REV_0400 and this what I got on Vista
I used software which was supplied incl cable. Did Chinese gave me wrong software? Is it cable dead now, or it will work with different 10.6 software, like from the tread "VCDS 10.6.0 work witch chinese clone"?

@easyobd
please let me understand
Did bought an VCDS 10.6 from china?
If it is so it has ft232rl inside.
When you plug into the USB and try to start the sw you'll have that error becasue the softwear dosen't recognize tour tool and will never start.
From what I lnow one of this clones dosen't work with 10.6 , just with 908 or 912.
Did you recived on the cd that's softwears?
When I bought one of this tool from china I recived on cd all softwears ( all cracked ) 704,805, 908 ( 2 versions). 912 and 10.6.0
Well how I tell you one of them works just with 912 or 908
If you have that sw on your cd you can try item.
Good luck
if you have some vcds 10.6.x dump can you send mi pm

I think this is the right place to post my question
I have 908.0 clone, ft232rl based fw:1.81
i recieve timeout error message with both 912 and 106 versions instaled, the cable works fine with 908.0 version
what i must do to work with 912, 106 versions?

Yes I bought VCDS10.6 from China, and it has FT232BL inside not 232RL. I didn't get any Cd with it but seller send me software 10.6 on my email. But when I installed software and connected cable for the first time I've got that error message -1, and software didn't start. I checked it in Device Manager but everything was fine-it was over there as Ross Tech Hex cable. I try it with 912 and 908 software but still to same error. Still doesn't work.
