Can any one Recommend another place other than china to buy the cheap vcds with the atmega162 of course because there's a risk in buying from china now

The vag k can commander 1.4 / 2.5 interface does not work with vcds lite 1.2. You must use the VAG KKL interface. Buy better vcds hex-can.

where to buy it cheap like china but ? i cant deal with aliexpress or any china u know the circumstance and the virus staff
on Epay it is too expensive so where to buy it cheap again ?

Is there any "good" VCDS clone, I haven't been able to find any promising clone on the internet. We have one guy locally in bosnia who is claiming he has a HEX-CAN clone that runs without the loader, directly with the original program, and also is updateable. The price is ~150€. I am not too sure in this guy so I wanted to ask is this possible, and is there any other reliable source on the internet for a good VCDS clone, I am not looking for a 10$ unit but I am willing to pay anything for a working unit. How is it possible to have such good clones of tools like Kess V2, with purple PCB's that work almost 100% like original, but we don't seem to have any good VCDS?

BTW I am co-owner of a original HEX-NET unit acquired from Ross-tech, but I want another clone unit that I can have for myself all the time.

I'm in the process of updating and old 11.8 cable.
I'm having an annoying problem with usbasp programmer. When I connect either the vcc or the ground, in the pic it's disconnected, the programmer turns itself off and windows says that a device connected to the usb port is drawing too much current. If I move the jumper on usbasp from 5v to 3.3v position it doesn't happen.
Did anybody have a similar issue?

May be you coonnect the wires inversely to the MCP2515 chip(I can NOT see the first pin of your MCP2515 chip beacasue of picture quality) and your laptop switch off the connection because of short circuit . You must connect the cables as described on this russian page:

Connect the ground cable from USBASP to the USB BLACK WIRE of VCDS interface directly.

You've better use multimeter in diode/beep mode to make sure the wires connected properly AND THEY HAVE NO SHORT FROM EACH OTHER! YOU MUST USE YOUR USBASP PROGRAMMER JUMPER 1 SWITCH IN 5V PROGRAMMER MODE!!!

Other hepful webpage (here comes out the connetion from printed circuit board directly that means, here is the connetor of usbasp a female connector, so it is reverse!!!!)

AND IT IS RECOMMENDED USE EXTERNAL POWER SUPLY WITH 12V CONNECTED TO YOUR VCDS CABLE FOR SURE as on the russian page described.

I use allways external powersupply with 12V (I use a power supply from my satellite receiver)and check the wires connected properly and had NO PROBLEM so far. I've updated many cables succesfully without any problems.

Good evening , any colleague around Plymouth or Cornwall in UK with a genuine VCDS cable? I need some help to do adaptation on audi A 4 B6 2003 1.9 TDI, i just need to adjust the volume of rear parking aid sensors , and my tool is not connecting to the 76- parking aid module. Obviously i'm happy to travel and to pay for the service. Many thanks!

It's weird because the tool is connecting to other modules that need 2nd k wire, but not to 76- parking aid. Just to mention rear parking sensors are working perfectly, i just need to adjust the volume as it's too loud. Pictures attached, also any ideas of upgrading this tool ? It's 11.11.3, i had it since 2013 and it's working Okay, i've been doing adaptations, coding, code reading and errasing fault codes. many thanks. Or any idea where to buy a good reliable newer version?
