I suspect your FT to be damaged. See if is correctly writen and try again.
You can try directly write with EEWriter. If not work, uncheck "Autodetect VID/PID" and replace 24 with 20.
If not work, FT defective or Atmega defective. 90% FT defective. Can try write Atmega with USB ISP programmer, the communication can be interrupted by an altered firmware.

Experiments with genuine should be carried out with extreme caution.
FTDI chip is the crucial thing, which cannot be spoiled/lost/etc.
ATmega contents can be easily backed up and restored to other/replacement chip.
As for the remaining components - nowadays Chinese PCB are superior to the ones HEX Microsystems used a decade ago (lack of protective diodes, lack of CAN filters, etc...)
I can calculate ABS module codings for:
* Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
* TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
* MK100;
* Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
* EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
* ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

Simply desolder entire STC chip. This is better solution than cutting the pin.

Hi,
Which pins should i put power on?
4 is ground and 16 is +12v?
Is that correct?
can anything be done with this cable or dose anyone know what this cable is for 20200531_130109.jpg
Can you explain how to see if it is correctly written?
I did try with Mprog and got the following results (serial is correct), please see picture

Hi,
I have status "not plugged into car" while connected to the car.
I have this interface:
https://ibb.co/WP48L15
USBASP is on the way, but not sure if i have to connect also to 12V while connected to USBASP.
This guy in Russia only use 5V from USBASP.
https://www.drive2.ru/l/480983286789701679/
Only apply 12V power when you direct solder on the chips is kolimer telling in his readme file.
Is this correct?
Tnx.
I've connected the cable above the red vcds 168 an have a red flashing g led is this correct for programming ive removed the stc now also
