Is that a new cable? Give it a better look into the PCB. Maybe you'll find some components without solder.
    No it isn't...
As i said before....it was working almost perfectly...fully registered, auto-scan completes every time...I t was actually friends interface (10.6) and i had the sam that did not work...Always get message:Interface not found after plugging to OBD port...Then i tried to clone his interface onto mine...and started programmer while interface was plugged to USB...and everything gone....somewhere...it was erased/flashed/prgrammed-whatever...but it started NOT working...

    reprogramm it with good dumps.
if you cannot change the ftdi VID/PID you have to change the 93C46 and the it will work.
My freind liviudiaconu ( our mate ) just did this on an interface sent it by me.
At this interface the VID_0000/PID_0000, I could changed it to VID_0403/PID_6001 and I did the procedure then tried to use VIDPIDFIX but had an error and with MProg I couldent reprogramm the FTDI.
When I took off the interface from the USB and plugged back the VID/PID come back to the unknown device (VID_0000/PID_0000).
    The solution was:
Changed the 93C46 and reprogrammed the Atmega like in the tutorial.
    This is it.
    Good luck

Just a little bit off topic... but I want to know if anyone knows an online store that sells IC with free shipping or with an attractive shipping fee.

I need one M93S46 SOIC and I don't wanna pay 0.50Euro for the IC and 10Euro for the shipping =)

By the way. I am in Portugal!

    hey guys...
i got an ideea, but i might be wrong as i am not good in electronics!

since the software stores blacklisted serial number, and also in the software its checked the serial, wht if someone will manage to patch that serial checking?

in theory then you will be able to use the software on any version of vcds without causing the eraseing of atmega!

ehhh...its too easy ..must be something else ...

    any ideeas?

    Hi,

take a look at the st hp (st.com) --> contacts --> distributers. There are two in Portugal!

Try to contact them and ask for free samples or price!

    Best wishes
