hello,
Have someone problem like this with hex v2? Stm chip.
It say illegal device. The device is locked.

hi,my cable its with ATMEGA162+16V8+FT232RQ,when i conect only on pc its show ok and fund module,but when conect on the car and test its show no module fund and : invalid/unauthorized,the cable its new and i use only 2 times

Did you copied VCDSLoader.exe in the VCDS directory and did you used it for start the software ?

Has version 20.4 restored "OEM ATMega162" cable banning if you have an active Internet connection when you start the program?
"OEM STM32F415" was banned always.

yes sure,2 times its work all ok

no my friend,i not do anything,i heave a laptop only for vcds so i not connect this laptop on internet,the cable its arrived.i do all nedet thinks,no internet,no antivirus,all ok.i try both versions 20.4.2 and 20.12.and its work fine,all ok,when i go again on the car the next day then shoiw that messages

I had the same problem when i upgraded from 20.4.2 to 20.12.

What i did was run "Mprog.exe" then click on TOOLS then Read and Parse. This will read your device.

Then Click on the folder on top left to open templates and select VCDS_FA24_ftdi_RLRQ.ept for FT232R chip

Then click on Device then Program or click on the lightning button to reprogram your lead.

This worked for me on atmega hex v2.

VCDS Hex-V2 with main chip STM32F405VGT6 can work with all ross-tech version softwares
